I was scrolling through instagram this morning when I came across a meme that said exactly this:
"That face when you check your bank account after 'living your best life' this weekend ... 😨 😐 "
and it got me thinking, this is something I see ALL OF THE TIME!
We are always so caught up with the idea of money: how much do we have in the bank? how much are we lacking? where am I spending? How will I make up what I've lost?
I cannot count the amount of times I've seen a post or hear someone say they're afraid to check their bank account.
But seeing this post also made me realize something too; Money is temporary.
Money is always temporary, it enters our lives and leaves just as quickly. If we spend money, we're enjoying ourselves. If we save money, we're obsessed with the fear of ever losing it all at once which drives us crazy.
So yea we're spending in the moment, induced with a temporary high, influenced by those around us and the atmosphere we're in. Then we go home and are filled with guilt, frustration and fear.
But then it becomes a routine the next weekend. That negative emotion of guilt has surpassed and the thrill of the night ahead awaits.
Why? because what we lacked has re-entered our lives again.
Money is a never ending flow of energy.
We've been accustomed to believe that we need money in order to thrive and truly "live our best life", but at the same time we're advised that money is the root of all evil, and if we don't have any, we're classified as poor, unsuccessful.
So where is the middle ground? How do we make the shift from allowing dollar signs control us, to us controlling dollars? How do we control that energy source to better serve us?
Make the shift
Whether we have funds or we don't, there is always a fear of lack. We fear losing, spending, decreasing in value. When we don't have it we fear failure, rejection and debt.
This is considered a poverty mindset. You're playing a victim to your finances, believing that you are not in control of your money choices and the choices you make are not benefiting your highest self. You fear the next bill or paying rent or buying food because you see that energy source leaving, therefore "decreasing" your value.
Nothing that's driven by fear is the truth.
In order to regain control, we need to shift this money mindset.
This is your attitude towards money and your finances. Once you shift that mindset positively, you will begin to feel better about your spending choices and your outlook on your financial obligations. You no longer view spending as a limited amount of energy waiting to run dry. Instead, you understand that energy is constant and always moving.
The energy you emit reflects the energy you receive from the universe, and the more you radiate positive energy, the higher your vibrational frequency.
If you're emitting low vibrational energy filled with fear, doubt and lack, you will only receive more debt.
But by shifting your mindset and emitting energy of security and abundance, you will attract even more abundance.
This is the Law of Attraction.
How to get in control of your money mindset
In a world run by money, it's impossible to avoid it. So start shifting your money mindset to better serve you. Raise your vibration and attract more abundance and more wealth into your life.
Instead of dreading the idea of paying your next bill, become grateful for that energy exchange, knowing that the energy you are giving back will lead to even more abundance in your life. Remember that every financial decision in your life is made by you. You are the only one in complete control and you are not a victim to your finances.
Anytime you lack in money, think of reasons to be grateful for in that moment. Are you able to eat everyday, do you have a house and a bed to sleep in at night? Are you healthy?
There comes a time where we all lack financial freedom, but we often forget how wealthy we are in other areas of life. Once you begin acknowledging and appreciating what you have regardless of your bank statement and understand that money is a constant flow of energy entering your life over and over again, you will start to attract more.
Think of what you want to achieve and match the frequency of that energy by raising your vibration. The higher your vibrational frequency, the more abundance you attract.
